This one looks raptorlike, the current version looks canine. Some elements I like about this one better, and some from the current Zara.

Current Zara reminds me of therapsids (prehistoric reptiles with mammal traits, like fur and wiskers. The bigger ones died out, but the little ones evolved into rodents.)

I'm done.

I like the underspikes--one can tell he's dangerous, but he looks so cute and confused that you have to help him. I wonder if he'd bite fingers?
